Landlabs

LANDLABS operates in six landscape laboratories all over Europe, all of which are urban landscapes characterized by heavy industrial influence. It assumes that the conditions understood through the concept of the Anthropocene call for new ways of understanding and designing urban landscapes in order to increase their sustainability and beauty. The six landscape laboratories are an Extraction Landscape in Hannover, a Waste Deposit Landscape in Aarhus, a Quarry in Tromsø, Saltpans in the surrounding of Ljubljana, an Urban Woodland in Porto and Infrastructural Landscape in Vienna.
