Short Scientific Course 1

The first Short Scientific Course, organised by the University of Ljubljana, took place online from the 26th to 27th June 2025.

Five interesting and relevant speakers gave great lectures on the theory, practice and methods of site analysis. Marti Franch talked about urban acupuncture and tactical urbanism; Andrew Benjamin provided insights into rational theory; Mateja Kurir gave an overview of beauty in landscapes; Lisa MacKenzie presented interesting methods of the potential of the indeterminate; and Laura Kemmer shared her thoughts and work on designing with the planet. Unfortunately, Alexandra Arènes was unable to give a lecture due to illness.

The doctoral candidates will apply the theoretical knowledge and insights gained to their own research through small exercises.
